Entry 10.Wrap up: Outcomes of the course.

   

 

     First of all, I am going to inform about ICT course. The development of Information and communication Technology (ICT) is accelerating in tandem recently. Today ICT is belong to almost every aspect of our everyday life, including education. This course is aimed to make students understand the basic concepts of ICT in language learning-including"web-based learning. "This course was difficult for me at the beginning of the lesson because I am not very good at computer. But after lessons, I learnt it very well. Now it is one of my favourite courses. If I can say opportunities learning it we can get achievement after finishing the ICT course. When I entered this course I didn't know about writing, listening and reading skills very well. During the course we practised these skills and we do a lot online exercises with our teacher. We learnt some new phrases belong to computer.In one word , this course gave us a good impression.Also, I can say thanks for all of them who taught us,our dear teacher.

Pros and cons of different social media applications.
 

      In our day to day lives we socialize and interact with many different types of people including family, friends colleagues, or even complete strangers. Before technology people stayed in contact via regular mail,  writing letters telephone calls and face to face communication.

      Today the way in which we relate to others is completely different.We use social media come into play.Many people may think that the use of social media is making them more interactive with society.
      For example, Google,Telegram Messanger,Facebook,Instagram,Imo and etc. are useful for people. But I do not use some of them, because they are time consuming, I use Google,Telegram and Imo. Since studying, I am distant from my family, I use from them.

     Social media is used by many people young and old around the world as a way to communicate.Our lives have become so busy that it is difficult to maintain family and social relationships.

  In my opinion, social media is very important in our life.Beacause we are living in technical period.

How useful/effective are online self-assessment tests.

   

     Online assessments or e-assessments are online tests conducted with the purpose of evaluating measuring and documenting the academic readiness learning progress educational needs of the test takers.

     In our ICT lesson, we did some online tests through some web-sites. Since this tests we improved our listening, reading and writing skills.
  Nowadays we can create assessments online share the link with our users and immediately see their results. The use of online assessment saves companies a lot of time and money. Often the assessment can be completed in less time multiple candidates can complete the online assessment at the same time and there is no need for specialized personel. Also the test takers are able to take the assessment during class or at home,using their own. We get to see their results and answers and get instant feedback about our choosen topic. That helps us as a researcher, teacher or trainer, to learn more about our users and adapt to their needs,  strengths and weaknesses. So I think that it is very useful.

The best project I made/Presentations I made.

   In our university we made some project works and presentations. In our Integrated Skills and Information and Communication Technology lessons especially made a lot of project works and presentations. Those presentations and project works helped very much to us.

The best project I made was this blog. Creating this blog was very difficult for not only fo me but also for my groupmates. Especially entering "domain" was most difficult all of it. Because it didn't receive simple domain.Also using from telephone wasn't easy. We faced some difficulties. But after so difficult situation I was able to create my blog.People said that:  "What has been achieved through hardships is a good result. "I liked my blog very much.It was the most successful project work in previous project works.

      Also, I can say that in our IS lesson we made dubbing. It was too difficult but we were able to do it.

      In one word,all of project works and presentations learnt very much things.So,I can say many thanks to my teachers.

My Test Taking Strategies.
   

    The test taking lessons have helped me learn more about having good strategies for a test. 

       I feel that with these lessons learnt I can have more confidence to take a test and pass it. In this report I want to show why test taking is an important skill to learn. Test taking is one of the most important things to have good skills at. Test usually have a significant effect on our grade.

 

   The test taking tutorial taught me different strategies for different types of test. For example, multiple choice test I have learnt to eliminate options that are unrelated to the question. I learnt to do that because I would sometimes just pick what sounded good and not really read the rest of the choices available. 

    In one word,test taking strategies are very useful for us.

Critical analysis of online language learning resources.
   

   Effective language learning is the necessity of time. Getting the best education is important whether it is online learning or in a traditional classroom. The key is finding the one that will be most efficient for our learning.

       I would say online learning is more hard because I think there is a lot of unnecessary busy work assigned than a classroom setting. Online learning has advantages as well such as being in the convenience of one's own home and having the flexibility to an individual to watch the class lectures on their own schedule. I personally chose online because of my busy schedule and I think it is the best decision to improve my education.                 

In conculusion, I can say that online learning is more convenient for all people and I recommend it to everybody.

Am I slow or a fast reader?
 

      First of all, I am going to inform about reading. Reading is defined as a cognitive process that involves decoding symbols to arrive at meaning. Reading is an active process of construction meaning of words. Reading with a purpose helps the reader to direct information towards a goal and focuses their attention.I am neither slow nor fast reader.

   Nowadays everybody are trying improving their reading skill. I am trying very much, too and are working on me. I can say that for being fast reader we should try again and again. We should improve step by step our reading skill through reading interesting and a little simple texts. After that our reading skill is improved.

     We think native speakers talk too fast,break too many grammar rules use slang and difficult vocabulary that we never learned in class. When we watch TV, listen to the radio,or watch a movie in English we can't understand completely. Podcasts an audio file that we can listen to or download from the Internet.More importantly, listening to podcasts is an effective,convinient way to improve our English listening skills. Podcasts can help us to improve our listening skills became familiar with different accents and styles of speech,build our vocabulary with the real modern English we use today,and understand native speakers even when they speak quickly I 'll say it again: the best thing about podcasts is thing about podcasts is we can listen anytime, Listening podcasts and applications help to everybody who is learning listening.    Computer skills are an absolute necessity in the modern life. Of course there are other skills which one needs in a balanced education.However computer skills should be the base, upon which any modern education is built. People interact with computers in fields such as education, healthcare is the area that has been most assisted by computer. Computer with its unbelievable ability to make developments found an answer all kind of questions.

     So, nowadays everybody are learning computer. And everybody has different computer skills. They are strong and weak computer skills.I can't use from computer very easily. Because I have some weaknesses.

People say that if we try very much which we aren't good at things. I have changed because my computer skills are better than I entered to university time. Of course, my teachers helped for this so I am a good computer user now.

My first Impressions and expectations of the University classes.

    First of all, I am going to tell about my first impressions which belong to our University. When I came to there, I had some difficulties with finding my groupmates. I liked very much building of our University .I was an unforgettable day for me. Because I dreamt very much entering to this University for a long time. My first impressions of my University classes were really positive. Also, my groupmates appeared like me. I am sure I was lucky to make such good friends, but there's simply so many people around us it's hard not to make friends. At the beginning, I thought that the lessons of University were very difficult. But it was not very difficult as I thought. After some days we were used to it. Lessons of University are not difficult except final exams. My first impressions and expectations were above mentioned. Nowadays I like my University very much. In my opinion, it is the best one in Uzbekistan. Our lessons very interesting and useful for us. Also, the education of our university is noble.

    I chose the theme "Listening skills" for my blog.  Because l learnt only grammar before entering the university.  So l had some troubles with my speaking and listening.  After three or four months my speaking was turned into good side. But not only my listening but also my goupmates' listening  remained. So l chose this topic.

    Listening is key all of effective communication. Without the ability to listen effectively, we have some difficulties. If there is one communication skill we should aim to master then listening is it. Also listening means paying attention not only to the story but also how it is told, the use of language and voice  and how the person uses his/her big listening skill comody. 

   Now we are learning listening very well. I hope that our listening will be better than we expect till next studying year. Because listening some difficult but very enjoyable and interesting.

  For getting good results  we are trying very much. In near months, we will turn into  very good listener.In one word, listening is very useful for us so we need learn it again and again.After that our listening changed into good side.
